Prepare a mixture of water and dishwashing liquid. This should remove the excess the grease off your carpet. When done, remember to use water to remove the soap. Then, blot the area dry to remove all excess water with an old towel.

If the stain remains, apply a dry cleaning solvent using a sponge. When using a solvent, be sure to test patch it first in an unnoticeable area eg behind the door, to avoid further damage to your carpet. Blot it until the stain fades. (Best to call in the professionals for this step)
